The Church of the Nazarene expects a certain standard of knowledge, character, and competency for all ministers within the church. These standards are written in the Manual and every entity of the church is held to these standards. The Church of the Nazarene has established a validation process in order to assure that every Course of Study curriculum meets the denominational standards as it prepares men and women for contextualized ministry.
The Kansas District School of Ministry and Training seeks to fulfill this mandate by preparing ministers to meet the requirements for ordination through the Course of Study for Ministers, and to provide further Life Long Learning opportunities to enhance the minister’s ability to serve in an ever changing culture.
This webpage serves as the portal through which students in the Course of Study can take the required courses through the Kansas District School of Ministry. Our District School will offer all of the required courses in the Course of Study, however a student may also work with Nazarene Bible College to take courses online. For information about taking courses through NBC, please contact them directly at www.nbc.edu. Those interested in participating in the Kansas District School’s program to complete Course of Study requirements need to email Dr. Jon Fillipi, the school’s Director at jfillipi@sfnaz.com.
Additionally, this webpage serves as the portal through which credentialed ministers can access life long learning opportunities, as well as specific training venues for church planting, discipleship, organic outreach, church system’s training, as well as other Life Long Learning opportunities. Information will be posted on a regular basis about upcoming events and training opportunities that are available.
