Pastor Jay Bessmer was appointed the District Secretary position in 2015. Jay is Senior Pastor at Manhattan. He began his ministry at Hutch Bethany in September 2011 after moving from Nebraska with his wife, Sarah and their five children, TJ, Gracyn, Cailyn, McKenna and Ashley. He served at Hutch Bethany until 2020, when he accepted the call to pastor at Manhattan. Pastor Jay graduated the Ministry Preparation Course of Study and following his education, was ordained an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Jay has a great desire to impact the lives of our community as he continually evaluates more effective ways to reach this community for Christ.
