On July 15, 2014 in Wichita, KS, Jim Bond was elected as the new District Superintendent for the KS Nazarene District after Dr. Nash announced his retirement. We congratulate and welcome him as our new leader. In the same assembly meeting, Dr. Nash was bestowed with the title of District Superintendent Emeritus after having served the KS District for over 20 years as our District Leader.
On behalf of the entire Kansas District, we would like to offer our sincere thanks to you Dr. Edmond Nash for putting all of your time and effort into the Kansas Nazarene District over the past 20 years. We have laughed, cried, prayed, fellowshipped, worshiped, and gathered for times of mourning and celebration together. You have been an inspiration to many who have crossed your path.
You have presided over countless meetings that have moved the KS District forward and ultimately reached lives for Christ. You have led with honor, even in stressful times and have shown us how to lead while following the direction of the Holy Spirit. Your commitment to Christ and to the churches of this Nazarene district have not gone unnoticed.
As the Kansas Nazarene District, we were honored to bestow upon you the title of Distinct Superintendent Emeritus on July 15, 2014 at our Assembly. This is just one way we are able to show you our appreciation and respect as a District. No doubt by now you have received many cards, letters, emails, and personal thank you notes. As you move on to the next adventure God has for you and Judy; know that you are loved here in Kansas.
Dr. Nash, it truly has been an honor and a privilege having you and Judy with us in this important leadership role for these past 20 years. It will be very sad to see you both go, but we are excited to see what God has in store for you and Judy in the future.
Your friends of the KS District
